Powered by Audioscrobbler™The band was formed in April 1978 in Rouen. They named themselves after the psychoanalyst Claude Olievenstein. In June 1978 the group made its first concert and from that autumn Les Olivensteins continued playing in Normandy and Paris, the most famous being the concert with group Dogs. Their single 45 RPM was released in March 1979, produced by Lionel Herrman from Melodies Massacre(producer of the Dogs). Finding no label , being pressured by RG and after Dr. Olievenstein even made them cancel one of their concerts in Paris while supporting Stiff Little Fingers at the Palace, the group decided to separate after a final concert in January 1980.(http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_Olivensteins#cite_note-0)
