In the beginning...
There was this guy with a couple of turn tables and a sampler or two lying around.
In the beginning...
This guy was named Alan but was also known as Land of the Loops. He had a friend Steven who ran a record label... wait, it was a cassette label...
That was Slabco, and...
In the beginning...
Land of the Loops would put out several cassettes with Slabco, until Steven became the first employee of Up Records, and convinced friend Chris Takino to put out the Land of the Loops records... It was not a hard sell.
So then...
Land of the Loops would release their first 7", "Multi Family Garage Sale," which was something of a hit...
So then...
Could a full length album be far behind? And the interest in the 7" grew and grew...
So then...
Many companies would license different tracks for commercials, here in the States as well as in Japan...
And after that...
There was an e.p. titled "Refried Treats" that came out....
And after that...
Alan moved to Seattle for a while, to continue to work on the next full length release...
And after that...
Alan would move back to his hometown of Boston, MA to finish up the second full length release, "Puttering About A Small Land."
More recently...
Alan has continued to work on new material, including the release of the "Single Girl Summer Home" flexi 7"...
More recently...
Alan also would start teaching...
More recently...
Alan got married to long time sweetheart, Lorraine.
And now...
L.o.t.L. still rocks the relevance of our time.
