LYR is a British ambient post-rock ensemble led by poet Simon Armitage and featuring musician Richard Walters and producer and multi-instrumentalist Patrick Pearson.

The idea is for the musical combination of traditional African music, experimental rhythms, ambient and noise elements. Each track is then translated via programming into moving images which is the needed addition for the audiovisual show.
