Powered by Audioscrobbler™Born in Munich, raised in West Berlin and finalized in Hamburg in the late '80s, Istari Lasterfahrer started his high grade digital music career with low end '80s computer hardware. Using hard disk recordings in early the '90s when everybody was using still using midi equipment, he eventually got pissed and switched to soundtracker files. He threw some jungle parties in Hamburg around the years '94 and '95, and started dropping his tunes into BBS systems and the early internet, gaining respect worldwide in the early internet community, joining one of the first high-profiled web labels, Commie.

His first live performance was a hell of a rush of early harsh jungle riddims, released at a party together with Steve Buck and Cincenzo at Hamburg's number one venue Rote Flora, which still defines what's up front and true to the scene.

Istari Lasterfahrer released an uncountable number of tunes and releases on high profiled underground labels such as Complication#27, Stoopid Plastics, Cavage, Dhyana Records, PCK, Sprengstoff, Mental ind., Watch And Pray, Mash Records, Cobretti, Bruchstellen, Marasm and his own imprint Sozialistischer Plattenbau.

Istari's energetic live performances and whack DJ sets have captivated audiences and artists worldwide with their innovative sound, a mixture of everything with his up-to-date soundbwoy dub technics, and the usually chaotic pad gimmicks everybody does these days.

His self produced videos and movies have been shown worldwide at different festivals such as Dark Matter in Canada, and the Flensburger Kurzfilmtage in Schleswig Holstein, and are sometimes a mind blowing part of his live performance which fills the gap between visual aesthetics and shitty soundsystems.

Istari has also played at highly acclaimed festivals that even he cannot remember anymore because of the ultra intense aftershow partys following.
