History of the Hawk crawled out of their Stourbridge microcosm circa April 2011. Surviving on a diet of DIY gigs, the band thrived on the expanding punk community in their native Midlands, bursting onto the scene with own take on hardcore.
It wasn't long before they gained a reputation for their fierce and frantic live performances gaining plaudits from respected press and fellow musicians and hither bringing themselves to the attention of In At The Deep End Records.
Only three months after the band's incarnation the band recorded and released OCEAN via In At The Deep End [digital] and Speedowax [vinyl]. The ep received instant recognition with Rock Sound, Big Cheese, Dead Press and more, all giving the release excellent, glowing reviews.
"HOTH" have since gone from strength to strength being playlisted on radio stations like Kerrang and a whole host of Indie internet stations and punk sites. Rock Sound magazine even ran a feature, hailing the band as "one of the hottest newcomers in the UK", culminating in a headline tour across mainland Europe.
October 2012 will see the release of "FUTURE RUINS", the bands debut album on In At The Deep End Records. The record promises to be musically challenging and angular, pushing the stale, crumbling boundaries of hardcore punk rock.
History of the Hawk sidestep the cliche of modern hardcore culture offering an honest and direct musical response.
