Farmer Joe & The Ignorant Corpses

Powered by Audioscrobbler™FJIC's 2013 album 'Hobo Platypus' will be released on the WLM record label in the fall of 2013. WLM is the band's label home.

Farmer Joe and The Ignorant Corpses defy general (and comfortable) musical categorization. According to the band this is not intentional, and is perhaps even regrettable, but it is, at least, the result of being true to themselves. It is perhaps difficult to understand what they mean by that, but what it means for us, certainly, is a bunch of weird music.

The band; Fink, Dave The Wave, Mikos, and Joe Schmoe, all share instrumental and vocal duties, switching roles and instruments back and forth (often even in the same song). They record their music (including lead vocals) in ad-lib, impromptu jam sessions (sometimes before audiences), leaving post production vocal harmonies, decorations, and mixing in the hands of Joe Schmoe in his studio, the Hen Haus.

They don’t tour. Their only public appearances have been unannounced performances thrown together at the last minute for the purposes of recording an album (often in unusual locations). They may not even be using their real names. They allow no photographs, only “artistic renderings” of their images.

WLM is the band's label, Cyclops Eye Music was the bands label prior to 2013. All biographical and promotional information has been approved by the band. Full, free streaming songs on-demand can be heard on their MySpace page.
