Powered by Audioscrobbler™Eerie Wanda is indie singer, musician and songwriter Marina Tadic. Born in Zenica, Bosnia, but raised in Amsterdam and currently based in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, she joined contemporary Amsterdam beat/psych outfit Earth Mk. II as a guitarist, after graduating art school in 2012. Finding inspiration in bands like The Velvet Underground, Beat Happening and Young Marble Giants, Marina subsequently decided to try her hand at writing her own songs.

After a collection of her bedroom demos began circulating among friends in the Amsterdam music scene they eventually made their way to veteran producer and bassist Jasper Verhulst (who played the bass in bands such as Lola Kite, Moss and the backing band of Jacco Gardner). Verhulst encouraged Marina to put a band together and record a proper album.

With Bram Vervaet on lead guitar and Nic Niggebrugge on drums, tracking began for Eerie Wanda's début album in an old Cold War-era bunker, the so-called Vondelbunker, in Amsterdam's Vondelpark. Hum was released in February 2016. A second album, Pet Town, followed in 2019.

Eerie Wanda brings you sepia-toned songs, sung in a dreamy alto and based around timeless melodies and arrangements. The songs stick to a classic formula, evoking a warm, summery nostalgia and drawing comparisons to Angel Olsen, Broadcast, but also the tuneful dynamics of Buddy Holly. Eerie Wanda's third album, the darker, dreamy Internal Radio, came out in September 2022.

Marina Tadic is also a member of Kidbug, an indie rock super group of sorts, heavily inspired by mostly American underground bands of the 1990s.
