Powered by Audioscrobbler™There are at least two different artists called Doctor Velvet.

1. Doctor Velvet is a rock 'n roll / rhythm 'n blues band from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, influenced by artists such as The Sonics, Little Richard and Link Wray. Band leaders and high school buddies, David Grutter and Jerome de Vijlder, have gathered a group of talented musicians like Alex Figueira (Conjunta Papa Upa) and Sam Ghezzi (The Hi-Stakes, The Roaring Cats) providing a fresh take on the rhythm ’n blues genre by bringing elements of (latin) soul and fifties rock ’n roll together with a sixties vintage sound and feeling. The band's debut LP, New Breed, came out in October 2024.

2. Doctor Velvet is (or was?) the solo project of Adam Walton, guitarist and songwriter from Houston, TX, United States, influenced heavily by classic rock, Texas blues and funk.
