Carla Geneve

Powered by Audioscrobbler™Carla Geneve is an 18 year old singer song writer currently living in Perth. Her peers, local industry and music fans of all ages are touting her as one of Perth’s most exciting new live acts. Hailing from the South Western town of Albany WA, but moving to the city in early 2017, she has spent the year tirelessly playing shows in the metropolitan area, with favourite acts such as Birds of Tokyo, Alex Lahey, Stella Donnelly and many more. She was nominated for three WAM industry awards in 2017, and came away winning the Best Regional act.
Acutely literate, Carla’s music is personal and direct. Her song writing is delivered with dynamically robust vocals. Citing influences including The Drones, Courtney Barnett and Neil Young, Carla effortlessly swings between blatantly honest folk songs, and hard-hitting rock tunes. Playing live with a three piece band, their upfront, sometimes raucous, sometimes tender performances are evolving and maturing constantly.
Carla’s politically charged and unapologetic track ‘Red Rocks’ features first on WAM’s compilation CD ‘Kiss my WAMi’. New recordings are on the way in late 2017, and Carla is looking forward to an exciting 2018.
