Starting as a Halloween band by a group of multinational musicians in Prague, Czech Republic in 1998, Blaq Mummy has evolved into some kind of art-rock-noise "monster groove" that has been described as "Sun Ra but punk".

Featuring noisy and/or symphonic guitars, analog synthesizers, a theremin and crooning voices, they are "Prague's primeval postpunk from planet X powered by universal love and widespread devastation" according to their propaganda, "the maddest band in the city by a Golden Mile" according a critic.
