1. Established in 2017, Anemone is a psychedelic pop band from Rotterdam, The Netherlands, featuring former members of groups such as The Afterveins, The Medics and Moon Tapes. Their sound has been described as "rough-edged psychedelic soundscapes, Madchester grooves and smeared out nineties pop tunes." Think The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Pavement, The Feelies, Oasis, The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and The Smiths, amongst others. The band released several singles as well as two full-length albums:Silver Star (2018) and Freebird (2023).

2. Anemone is a dream pop band and side project of Suki Ewers, formerly of Opal and Mazzy Star. After the release of Mazzy Star's She Hangs Brightly, Suki formed Anemone, which performed and recorded between Mazzy Star tours. Anemone is based in Los Angeles and has been playing mainly in the Silver Lake area since 1995.

3. Anemone is an alternate spelling for Japanese trip-hop/techno/angura-kei style artist アネモネ.

4. Gustav Axelsson, Karl Nilsson and Roger Andersson originally played instrumental music in their hometown Tierp, Sweden. Jussi Haavisto and Gustav Berg joined in late 2005 as singers, to become Anemone. During winter 2006 a demo was recorded at Gustav's house and released without a label. Late 2007 Blessed Hands records released some tracks, and Anemone wrote a piece of screamo music divided into seven tracks. When the recordings were finished Roger quit the band and Jussi started playing bass instead. In spring 2008 the demo/ep Sedens Bördor was released on blessed hands records as a split with French act Taciturn.

5. Anemone is a collaboration between Japanese producer Tasuki Ninomiya and Chinese artist Yikii, self-described as a "fairytale like music group".

6. Formed in 2020, Anemone is a three-piece dark wave band from Finland.
