Powered by Audioscrobbler™Adam Momodou Eriksson Taal (born August 1, 1983 in Stockholm, Sweden), better known by his stage name Adam Tensta, is a Swedish Grammis award winning rapper and actor. He is of Finish/Swedish descent from his mother and Gambian descent from his father. He released his debut album, It's a Tensta Thing, in 2007 and it featured appearances from fellow Swedish MCs Eboi, Nitti Gritti and Isay.

Taal had his big break in 2007 with the single "My Cool", which received international attention and made MTV's annual Top-100 list at the end of the year. In his music, Taal has managed to catch the very heart and soul of hip-hop and to express his concern for social and political issues. His dedication to these matters is obvious as you listen to his first single "Bangin On The System". As a very conscious rapper Taal is constantly questioning things that he comes across and observes in his everyday life without force feeding the listeners. Taal has never smoked, drank alcohol or done drugs. He strives to be a good role model and is a representative of “A Non Smoking Generation” and an ambassador for the Swedish chapter of Save the Children.

As a seven year old, Adam Taal first encountered the world of hip-hop as he decided to get into breakdancing. With time, Adam's love and interest for hip-hop music grew stronger and after ten years of breakdancing he decided to give it up and focus on his own lyrical writing.

He has since released the albums Scared of the Dark (2011) and The Empty (2015) which were nominated for a Grammy for Album of the Year. In 2016 his mother passed away, and he stopped producing more music, only appearing on two singles by Nadia Nair and Houman Sebghati.

Taal is also the founder of the crash course "FRAMÅT" (Transl: Forward). In the FRAMÅT project, which is run in collaboration with Studiefrämjandet Stockholm Gotland, he inspires and motivates young people to achieve their musical dreams.

In 2024 he announced a new project simple called Adam Taal on which he has released new music.
