Andrew Morrison - April 2017
After a few months away, Andy makes a (hopefully) welcome return to the airwaves - or should that be streams? Streamwaves? Airstreams? Lee Adcock - April 2017
So April's gonna go down like this: picture a bottle of wine. Think of the peace that follows from a glass of that wine. A good chunk of this show is the sipping - the sublime disco of AMOR, the surreal odyssey of Allison's Gate, the heavy drone of Hot Air Henry, the eternal dancefloor of The Earthen Sea.
Then you're in a giddy mood, primed to giggle at the simplest gag - cue the next chunk of this show, with The Darling Buds laughing heartily, Hot Shorts cracking self-deprecating jokes in the corner, and Thundercat telling a million tales bout that one time he toured Japan.
Then, y'know, some folks turn from giggling to flirting - as you would when you're caught in the throes of Gnoomes, or struck by the dashing Imaginary People, or stuck in the reverie of You'll Never Get To Heaven.
And then, as you're driving home, you're left with a pounding headache and that sinking woozy feeling, like you've been slugged by ShitKid, or blindsided by Missing Organs, or drugged by Swamp Sounds.
But you will collapse into bed, and dream, and then Flasher will be all that's left to rattle around in yr subconscious until you wake.

Mark Whitby - April 2017
David Tantamount is the very welcome session guest in a show that also features tracks from two compilations high on quality and variety. The first, 'Unpresidented Jams', comes courtesy of Audio Antihero is in aid of those fighting the extremes of Trump-dom while the other, made available by Baba Yaga's Hut, has been released to generate proceeds for Amanda Moss, co-owner of Corsica Studios, in her fight against a rare form of cancer.
We also feature a bunch of great cassette releases, including demos from Wild Rose and Judy & The Jerks and a new album from Estonia's Threes And Will, while vinyl is well-represented in the shape of a cracking 7" EP from Denmark's Angry Skeletons and yet another fine Joy Orbison12-incher. There's also something from the new Greg Graffin solo album and a taste of forthcoming albums from Lee Negin and Borghesia.
We welcome the return of the Darling Buds and also play something from the new Wire album, released 40 years on from the day of their first live performance. Our Peel Back... feature once again has a trio of tracks played by John Peel 40, 30 and 20 years ago this month.

Pete Jackson - April 2017
A bumper three hour show from Pete this month packed full of quality new releases from $hit & $hine, Moon Duo, White Hills and The Darling Buds to name but a few.
Records are broken - most tracks ever played in one show (43!), and ace new session from Violent Pacifists has both the highest number of tracks (12!) and the shortest overall duration (just over 3 minutes) in show history.
As well as records, pianos are broken by REVBJELDE and minds blown by Sun Ra, and we start getting excited early for September's Liverpool PsychFest with tracks from Songhoy Blues, Julie's Haircut, The Black Angels and Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs.

Rocker - April 2017
As usual packed three hour show, this month featuring two exclusive new sessions - from Karen, and Neurotic Fiction. There's new tracks from The Whooperups; Piss Test; Hater; The Higher State; Stutter Steps; The Darling Buds; Adult Mom; Caves; Former Bullies; Glass Angel; Paul Rooney; Secret Shine; The Nightingales; and Just Blankets.
Pama International cover The Paragons, while Eureka California cover Superchunk. VCO remix a Carl Craig's classic, while Mollono Bass takes on Bona Fide. There's also electronica from Joy Orbison; Clark; Stephan Bodzin; and Marc Romboy.
This month's Peel's big 45 is a soul record frm 1973, while this month's Educating Elizabeth record is unusually a current 7", from gospel trio The Como Mamas.
As well as little known acts, here's a little known fact: Japanes all-girl band Otoboke Beaver are named after their local "love hotel".

Sean Hocking - April 2017
We start the show with a cracker by cross dressing Portland rapper, Maarquii. The best hip hop we've heard out of the US in the last 12 months. A star on the way?
Also new tracks from Portugal. The Man, Moon Duo, Sir Robert Orange Peel, The Jeepers and many more.
From the classic disco box we pull Glicy Dan's fabulous Cowboys & Gangsters and on the punk side of things we've got the best cover i've yet heard of the Damned's Neat Neat Neat by Thee MVPs.
Favourite song title of the month is "Suburban Anarchists Building a Better Tomorrow" and our special treat a demo version of Welcome to the Fuzzbrain by the mighty Dream Herbs from Walthamstow. We can now announce they've been selected to play the Liverpool International Psych Fest and if you get a chance to see them don't miss it.
