The Beatbox Saboteurs Show - May 2018
Order should have been restored this month with Mr Blu back from his vacation, however, it is possible that his duty-free entitlement may have had some bearing on the playlist. Spanking Machine anyone?
As such, whipped up within a teasing two-hour show, we have a fantastic selection of electro with new and recent tracks from Network 23, Flesh Eating Foundation, Tatuuma, Digital Encryption, Vandal Moon, Stonerpop, Analogue Electronic Whatever and Rodney Cromwell.
To counter-balance all those pleasurable beats, we have an eye-watering ride of twang, noise, drama, class, pop, surf-gaze, shoe-gaze, possibly even navel-gaze from acts such as The Equatorial Group, Xeresa, Abi Wade, Soft Science, Pale Honey, Nova Flares, The Big Believe, Trevor Something, Paul Littlewood and Nostalgist.
We are also celebrating 30 years of Damaged Goods Records with new releases by Amyl & The Sniffers, Miss Ludella Black & The Masonics and Thee Dagger Debs. There's even some more delights from Kapitän Platte Records with top tunes from both Monophona and Sork.
As always, throughout the show, there are some saucy surprises and questionable insertions, but just when you think we've pretty much covered everything from everywhere around the globe, above and beyond all that - Juliana Hatfield sings Olivia Newton-John.
Please let us know how well the show has gone down with you!

Gareth Jones - May 2018
The merry old month of May is known for that musical institution, the Eurovision Song Contest. So forget Brexit and let's embrace the sounds of Europe.. In the first hour of May's show are new tracks by Spanish bands Mourn and Pentina't Lula. The European sounds continue in the second hour with a selection of past alternative & punk Eurovision entrants including Winny Puhh from Estonia and Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät from Finland. The UK aren't forgotten though, with 1978's punk entrants Fruit Eating Bears along with two Eurovision choices for this month's edition of "Secret Songs From The Sixties" from Vince Hill and Lulu .
Besides Eurovision, this month also brings you some country & bluegrass, surf guitar, two cover versions medleys and "Soundtracks of the Strange" featuring music from Wes Anderson's "Isle Of Dogs" and the 1969 film "The Minx".
Plus there's new releases from Rodney Cromwell and Peach Kelli Pop and many more.
May the fun begin!

Ok, so I'm back on Dandelion with a May show, hopefully that news is not met with groans :-) I've still been listening to loads of new music since my last show back in 2016, I've kept in touch. What is in store then?
Well, a fair bit of moombahton, yes, still one of my favourites is moombahton, it's just a little harder to find these days ...
There is a great session from folk duo Two's Company. It was given to me early in 2017 but I was on my hiatus then so it is finally seeing the light of day. There is baile funk from MC TG and Azide features not once but twice he is that good.
There is a Chopstick drum and bass remix of a very unlikely Dandelion artist Ed Sheeran but don't worry it is ace. There is some lovely folktronica from Rachael Boyd and a magic track from Dark Sky.
Very glad to be back doing this again, hope you like it!

Mark Whitby - May 2018
Although I'm not entirely averse to the appeals of Eurovision, the spread of artists from across the continent in this month's show is entirely coincidental. One of our featured compilations - Uneven Paths - showcases 'deviant pop' from across Europe In the eighties and early nineties. Three cracking releases from France - Chocolat Billy, Gratuit and Low Jack - jostle for space alongside Germany's Maugli, Death & Delirium from Austria, Hinds from Spain, Strict Nurse from The Netherlands and Estonia's Threes And Will.
A second featured compilation comes in the form of the latest in the 'Eccentric Soul' series from Numero Group and there are a couple of excellent new releases from the Owd Scrat, while other great new tunes come from The Scottish Enlightenment, Flesh Eating Foundation and Manfred Hamil, among others.

Rocker - May 2018
Three hours of new music, including tracks from Sandfingers; Peach Kelli Pop; D. A. Stern; The Groove Farm; Worriers; Cavern Of Anti-Matter; Buffalo Tom; Hinds; Wussy; Say Sue Me; Corporationpop; Karen; Gina Birch; Beau; Camp Cope; The Total Rejection; Chemtrails; Rainbow Reservoir; Courtney Barnett and Mark McDowell & Friends.
Plenty of electronica too, including tracks from Luis Junior; Butch remixed by Kolsch; Burial vs The Bug; Steve Bicknell; Teho and Marc Romboy.
This month's Rocker's Shellac Attack is a very English record from 1943, while this month's Educating Elizabeth record is a belter from 1968.
As well as little known acts, here's this month's little known fact: The word "testify" is based on the Ancient Roman practice of making men swear on their testicles when making a statement in court.

Sean Hocking - May 2018
We start off with our latest Metal Postcard discovery, Occult Character from Texas and his fantastic Gimme Torture ep which we have called 6 songs from Trump's Shit Amerika. He covers subjects like bad white men, the fact he can't find anything in the fridge and school shootings, Roky Erikson with cheap electronics for the 21st century.
Metal Postcard is also lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to release something by The Bordellos. 4 songs playing homage to Julian Cope. A wonderful ep indeed and featured in the show.
More new songs from Uranium Club, Dr Octogan, Amyl & Sniffers and a great singer songwriter from western Australia, Racoo. Also a recent discovery for us Tom of England who's disco cover of Anarchy in the Uk is perfect for another upcoming hot summer.
Plus oldies from Ted Chippington, Sydney's Low Life and Leftfield amongst others.
Thanks as always for listening

Thomas Blatchford - May 2018
Welcome to the May show by Thomas, also known as the unofficial fan podcast for Netta's entry into Eurovision 2018, only he forgot to include it. Oh well.
Maybe it's best to talk about what *is* played in this month's 120 minutes, such as: a selection of excellent b-sides tossed off by Cable Ties, Astral Skulls and Midnite Snaxxx; solid break-up advice from Chunyin; possibly the most contentiously-named artist on this show to date, Ross From Friends (he was by far the most heinous Friend though, everybody knows it); the regeneration of a jungle classic; a Golden Syrup remix that will make your skull pop; the sound of a farmer in Mississippi blowing on bottles in the 1970s; one song title made up entirely of emojis, so we're not sure how to pronounce it; and, oh look, some actual jazz.
