The Beatbox Saboteurs Show - June 2018
Just an hour slot this month as the social season has started and we have been busy tippling and chomping at various soirées. Don't worry, the show still packs a punch with some corkers from Klammer, The Total Rejection, Beatastic and Axolotes Mexicanos. We have another sublime track from Abi Wade, a quick blast of In Love With Ghost, along with some pulsating electro from Gridbug, Sinosa and our much-loved Computer Magic.
We have tracks from a couple of compilations, one of which is a forthcoming charity release supporting Hastings Citizens Advice, the other is the new Thomas Imposter Records' Tokyo Chikatetsu Volume 1. The latter introduces us to the lively Japanese band Dead Bambies, and to keep them company we've slipped in some sheer cheek from the wonderful Goofy18.
To annoy the librarians, Damaged Goods Records bookend the show with tracks from their recent Amyl & The Sniffers and The Senior Service releases.
We hope you enjoy the show!

Gareth Jones - June 2018
It's full steam ahead for my June show where I'm running a train-tastic competition, offering you the chance to WIN TICKETS to this year's INDIETRACKS. I'll also be playing new singles by Ex-Vöid and All Ashore! who are both performing at the festival this year.
There's a triple tribute to Joey Ramone featuring a song from the man himself, one from Helen Love and a track from the new Simon Love album.
World Cup fever sweeps the nation in June, except for me because I don't like football! But in the interests of pleasing the majority, I'm bringing you two lesser-known football anthems for this month's 'Secret Songs of the Sixties' by Lonnie Donegan and Antoine.
'Soundtracks of the Strange' features two super hero cuts - one by composer Tyler Bates from 'Deadpool 2' and the other by Syd Dale from the animated series of a certain super hero in a spider costume (who for legal reasons we cannot actually name!), taken from the new Trunk Records release called 'Spider Jazz'.
This month's covered band is The Flaming Lips in celebration of their new 'Greatest Hits Vol.1' collection. You'll hear cover versions of 'Lips songs in the styles of electro-pop, bluegrass and reggae!
All this plus the first new material in 10 years from Fonda 500, some post-punk from Bush Tetras, some dirty electro-pop from The Casual Sexists and some Japanese silliness from Bitter Cherry Jam.

Mark Cunliffe - June 2018
So, what's in store for June then?
Cazztek is coming at us with some brilliant house and there is a track from Hallouminati's upcoming new album which shouldn't be missed, party vibes as usual.
RP BOO has done a great footwork remix of a classic sixties TV show theme and there is a track from the up-and-coming Nottingham two piece band You Want Fox.
Favourite Busy Signal is here with some fab reggae and I decided to keep you on your toes with some Polish death metal in the shape of Feto In Fetus.

If you've failed to catch Vert:x in session before - or for that matter even if you did - then make sure you don't miss out on their latest in this month's show: it's a stormer.
In addition to that, we've got a special Daddy Cool mix of Russian music and commentary that manages both to celebrate the World Cup while at the same time sticking it to Putin. In the same vein, we've got the most recent single from Pussy Riot as well as a load of other great releases including new albums from TV Girl, David Tantamount, Blank Realm and Rat Scabies.
This month's featured compilation is a cracking album of Japanese bands put together by the redoubtable Thomas Imposter and there are a couple of belting demos from Marbled Eye and Shux while, pausing briefly in retrospective mood, we Peel Back... to three session tracks broadcast on the John Peel show 40, 30 and 20 years ago this month.

A bumper 3-hour extraveganza this month, with tonnes of new and new-ish releases from old favourites like Goat, The Breeders, Bonaccons of Doom, Gnod, Sandfingers, Wooden Shjips and Revbjelde, plus roughly equal amounts of new findings, from Sons Of Kemet to Subsonics, Anklepants to Lay Llamas.
There's three cuts from an ace new Analog Africa compilation from Benin, old tunes from Captain Beefheart and Thee Hypnotics and I finally get around to playing some John Coltrane.

Rocker - June 2018
Another three hour show packed with new music, including a featured album - the new one from Half Man Half Biscuit, also tracks from The Golden Dregs; Jessica's Brother; Sandfingers; The Groove Farm; Wedding; Worriers; Illuminati Hotties; Karen; Smokescreens; The Total Rejection; Courtney Barnett; Mark McDowell & Friends and Ex-Vöid.
There's also electronica from Eagles & Butterflies vs John Digweed & Nick Muir; Barratt & DJ Tennis; and Darin Epsilon remixed by Sebastien Leger.
This month sees a slew of old punks in new collaborations - Vic Godard sings with The Nightingales, and also duets with Helen McCookerybook on a Francoise Hardy song. Helen also joins forces with former Young Marble Giant Stuart Moxham; while The Blue Orchids cover Vic, and their singer Martin Bramah teams up with ex-Mekon Jon Langford.
There's an 18 minute track by Alain Chamois about a field near Hebden Bridge - essential listening.
This month's Rocker's Shellac Attack features Bing Crosby's younger brother from 1939, while this month's Educating Elizabeth record is a 1967 floorfiller out of Chicago.
As well as little known acts, here's this month's little known fact: Half Man Half Biscuit's song 'What Made Columbia Famous' is an updating of the Jerry Lee Lewis hit 'What Made Milwaukee Famous (Has Made A Loser Out Of Me)' - the original song, written by Glenn Sutton, refers to Schlitz beer, which was advertised as 'The beer that made Milwaukee famous'.

A rare thing from me. A 3 hour show. Just too much great new music out there to ignore.
Artists new to us like Al Hotchkiss, Doctor Nod, Haley Hendrickx and RF Shannon, amongst others.
We've also got an unofficial world cup tune from Sir Robert Orange Peel. It'll all end in tears, Gazza style, as usual.
We're rather taken by Italians, Heroin In Tahiti and Acid Dad's new tune, Marine. We feature another one off the the new Dr Octogon album and some oldies from the likes of Kim Fowley, Misty in Roots and Linton Kwesi Johnson.
Thanks for listening to the show

Last month I said how much I liked Israel's entry into the Eurovision song contest and, now that they've won the bloody thing, I think every country should boycott it and not turn up next year. Pop music is a weird old game, isn't it?
But it's the shimmering lake we've all chosen to bathe in, so join me (Thomas, hello) for another two hours and 30-ish songs about ponies, love, trust, fire, Stockport, the essence of meaning, Louis Theroux, chips, and plenty more besides. Pure water and lots of ice!
There's also a couple of nods to rave's glory days, the return of probably the world's best tribute act, four electric guitars feeding back in a caravan, and one song you have almost certainly heard over the past month.
Dedicated to Glenn Snoddy.
