Groovy Uncle Image from Discogs Groovy Uncle is the solo incarnation of Medway musician Glenn Prangnell. He has been singer and songwriter in bands such as The Offbeats, Goodchilde and The Kravin’ A’s. When Goodchilde disbanded he recorded half a dozen “leftovers” with guitarist and former bandmate Allan Crockford and drummer Darryl Hartley under the “joke” name of Groovy Uncle. After a couple or more years of doing nothing other than writing songs and playing covers gigs with Johnny and The Bandits, Glenn decided to do something with his “backlog”(oo-er! Fnnarr etc…) and began work on his first solo album “Play Something We Know”. Sticking with the name Groovy Uncle (as he couldn’t think of anything better) Glenn decided he enjoyed playing with himself(see above) and decided to record a second album. Just recently completed, “Insult To Injury” contains 12 new original Poptastic hits! Or something. Coming soon: the Groovy Uncle website! e-mail: groovyuncle@tiscali.co.uk Read more on Last.fm.
