2) Founded 2004 in Celle (Germany), the metal band "Drone" released a 6-track-EP entitled "Octane" in January 2006. Greatest efforts so far include:
- Winning the international final of "metal battle" contest, which was held in August 2006 at the Wacken Open Air (see www.metal-battle.com)
- Reaching the West-German final of Emergenza contest 2006
- Successful live performances with Finnish band Korpiklaani and German band Die Apokalyptischen Reiter

3) Drone is also the name of an electronic music producer from Llanelli, Wales, who has been recording under the monicker since the year 2000. His first album, Colourformoney, was released on My Kung Fu records in February 2007. Equally inspired by IDM past masters such as Aphex Twin and by singer-songwriters such as Suzanne Vega, Drone attempts to fuse his influences in a style which is alternately visceral and poetic.

4) Drone (again) is the name of an electronic music producer from Frankfurt, Germany, who has released his music on http://www.upitup.com among other labels. HYBRID PHYSICS from this profile, for example, is one of his songs released on Upitup Records. Drone has played live at the Lab30 Festival in Augsburg, Germany.

5) Drone is (changed their name to A Vision Of) an alternative\hard rock band from Baltimore, MD, USA.

6) A psytrance act consisting of Dimitris Magglaris, George Kokkinos and Kostantinos Moshovas as stated on Discogs

7) The progressive grunge band Drone was founded 2003 in Silkeborg, Denmark. The band released three EP's before releasing the debut album Doors of Perception in 2011. In 2010 the band made it to the final of the prestigious CareerCanon hosted by Denmarks Radio (DR) and played at the Spot Festival which is the most important music festival in Denmark.
