Powered by Audioscrobbler™1) In the short amount of time COW have been together they have crafted their own unique sound. Drawing on influences such as Nirvana, Dinosaur Jr and Bill Ryder-Jones the band have become festival favourites at the likes of Focus Wales and Smithdown Road Festival. COW’s live shows have helped them develop a reputation that draws comparisons with Grandaddy, Pavement and Crazy Horse which has helped them secure support slots for the likes of The Spook School, State Champion and The Shipbuilders.

2) Cow were formed in late 2006 by Mark Boxall & Maxine Cook singer songwriters of the band.
after playing several showcase gigs to highlight their compositions decided to record an album of their work, so in 2009 set about working on a 12 track album initially it was intended to be solely acoustic but as things progressed in the studio with the songs growing in texture and flavour the end product was a very earthy and organic acoustic pop and soul sound which involved drums keys and some Indian vibes.
In 2010 we were fortunate to be asked to support Paul Weller for 5 nights at The Royal Albert Hall in London, later that same year we were asked back to play 6 more shows on Paul Weller's arena tour, playing venues such as Brighton Centre, Birmingham NIA, Cardiff Arena, Bournemouth NIC and Wembley Arena.
At the start of 2011 we were asked to perform a live session for Janis Long on BBC radio 2 this was after she had heard our 1st album and had been playing tracks off it on her show."I love Cow they have great songs and their own sound"(Janis Long 2011)
We played more gigs through 2011 and started writing our 2nd album Dedicated To...The Mighty Drum.
this was finished in mid March 2012 and a track off the album titled Black Harvest was used on the cover mount CD of the April edition of Mojo magazine to co inside with this we played 3 shows at The Camden Roundhouse supporting Paul Weller on his Sonik Kicks review
2012 will see Cow playing The Cavern Club in Liverpool and Guilfest in Surrey as well as promotional gig for the new album and writing will commence for a 3rd album
