Powered by Audioscrobbler™BLISS SIGNAL is a Blackened New Metal project between James Kelly (WIFE, ALTAR OF PLAGUES) and UK DJ / Producer MUMDANCE. BLISS SIGNAL strips down black metal’s mechanical repetitive elements to their essence, refined to a sharp, singular and powerful metallic core swathed in expansive synths, and shoegaze textures. Blast beats are replaced with analog drum machines. Shimmering synths wash over a heavily distorted staccato guitar.

The result is instrumental music that is intense and propulsive, with an ecstatic, occasionally ambient quality. The expansive sound fabric of BLISS SIGNAL is one ultimately reflective of the project’s conjured moniker. A shining beacon drawing you to oblivion.

The project debuted at Unsound Festival last year in Krakow & has since played at Berlin’s Berghain for CTM Festival, Mutek Barcelona, Doom over Leipzig & Heart of Noise Innsbruck.

Their debut EP "Drift" was released on August 10, 2018 through Profound Lore Records.
