After leaving her midwifery training due to a bought of serious illness in 2009, Williams retreated to the Devonshire countryside to recuperate and taught herself to play a hired harp.

Her offering, 'The Bird School of Being Human', released via Robot Elephant Records in September 2012 caught the attention of critics and led to her being named as The Guardian's 'New Band of The Day', as one of The Independent's 'Ones To Watch'.
Williams has lent guest vocals to Mercury-nominated Ghostpoet's hit single 'Meltdown', which was released on 6th May 2013, and remixed by Squarepusher.
