Warm Widow started in Manchester in 2007 when singer/guitarist Martin Greenwood began playing with drummer Lianne Steinberg and bassist Ivan Hall. They released their debut EP Impossible Acts in 2009.
Ivan left later in 2009 and was replaced by Zak Hane (Sonar Yen, Stranger Son).
The band's debut album Widower - a demo never intended for release until 'liberated' by the record label - was released in 2010 on White Box records - it won praise from the likes of Foxy Digitalis and Built on a Weak Spot.
Four years went by before their second album Childless was delivered in March 2014. This album featured very slightly higher production values and gained glowing reviews from the likes of Sic Magazine, 12XU and the legendary Norman Records. This was also the band's first release on vinyl and cassette
The band are currently working on their third album, provisionally titled 'Headless'.
