The 10p Mixes

Powered by Audioscrobbler™The 10p Mixes is Danielle and Will. Danielle sings, and plays the keyboard sometimes. Will plays the guitar, and sings sometimes. They make melodic indiepop that varies from saving-up-for-a-Rickenbacker jangly to frantic punk-pop, taking in synthpop, disco, 60s girl-groups and anything else that seems fun along the way. Their songs cover a wide variety of subjects, from the typical topics of love, everyday life and the weather to more esoteric matters such as a 17'3" green monster (My Monster), confectionery (10p Mix), horses (various songs), and the behaviour of the Dogs in France.

Danielle and Will put the name The 10p Mixes to their musical endeavours in 2007, when they stopped faffing about and started doing proper gigs and recordings. They have released one mini-album, called bedroomsound (2009, available on self-released CD and Best Kept Secret cassette), two EPs: The Dogs In France EP (2010) and A Christmas Gift from... (2009, only available in the festive period) and a live album Live at the Winter Warmer (2013). In addition, they have been on the last three Cherryade Music Christmas records (two as a band, once with Will on his own), the 2012 Indietracks compilation and the 2013 PBH Free Fringe Benefit album.

Although the Mixes play as an acoustic duo most of the time, some of the recordings have featured a more fleshed-out arrangements, including drums by The Lancashire Hotpots' Ken Bo (aka Keith).
