Powered by Audioscrobbler™Tapage started his music career playing guitar in a hiphop / metal / crossover band. This band lasted for about one gig so he decided to take matters into his own hands.
Tapage had already been using tracker programs to produce beats but soon the electronics started to play a much more important role. Inspired by IDM and breakcore alongside postrock and avantgarde composers, Tapage started to create a sound in which complicated harsh rhythms can coexist with dreamlike atmospheres.

In 2005 Tapage was asked to join the Meta4 crew and soon after that the first issue appeared containing the track 'Flowerbed Deathbed'. Two months later he teamed up with Ophidian to produce the first record in the Kapitalism serie. The 'Phataa Diin God e.p.' contained the track 'The Mine' which made a huge impact on the underground hardcore scene. With his remix on the Voidsector V.I.P. Tapage expands his sound and makes clear that he's not a one trick pony.

In 2006 Tapage and Meander launched the 'Hydromedusa e.p.' on the even more experimental meta0 label. Next, Tapage joined the ranks of innovative electronic music composers in the Tympanik Audio artist roster to release his debut full-length CD 'The Institute Of Random Events' in the Fall of 2008. In 2009 his second album 'Fallen Clouds' was released taking his sound further into experimental electronic music, also the second part of the kapitalism series introducing a more hard techno inspired sound. In 2010 a new collaboration album with 'Meander' entitled 'Etched in Salt' saw the light of day followed by a digital album on 'Raumklang' called 'Seven'.

After 'Seven', Tapage returns to Tympanik Audio where he releases his 2011 album 'Overgrown', dedicated to his father who passed away earlier that year. in 2012 a whole series of short e.p's emerge on the digital 'Tapeface' label.

In 2014 another full length album sees the light of day. As a sequel to 'Seven', 'Eight' dives deeper into downtempo aesthetics, exploring the brooding sound of triphop and ambient. The album incorporates a more instrumental approach and features vocals by Pinar Temiz.

A new album 'Five & Six' is currently expected to surface in 2015.
