Powered by Audioscrobbler™Simo Soo is incapable of being put into boxes. Where this can be a curse for the best of artists, Soo has used this as a strength to constantly push the boundaries of what a hip hop, dance or punk rock song can be. This ideal has extended through out their vast discography and in their work as head of indie record label, Yes Rave. This is the sound of Frank Zappa with a pirated copy of Ableton Live and a Metro Boomin sample pack, Björk and the Powerpuff Girls starting a black metal band, the Beastie Boys collaborating with a noise version of Yo Gabba Gabba.

Although, having relocated to Melbourne in 2017, Soo grew up in Western Sydney, a shy awkward kid cutting school to go skateboarding and avoiding bullies by recommending them hip hop albums and giving out fashion advice. A combination of undiagnosed ADHD and an obsession with music, made playing it their only focus in life which saw Soo accomplish everything from playing recorder at the Opera House in primary school to touring the USA with their favourite punk rock bands to collaborating with countless musicians that call everywhere from Aukland to Baltimore, home.

In 2018, they released four albums, ‘Very Pretty’, ‘Suzi’, ‘Everything is Going to be Okay’ and ‘Moon Safari’. These four records expand and build on everything Soo has done to date, rapid fire punky raps mixed with everything from Blade Runner-esque sci fi synths, trap, nu rave, bubblegum pop, noise, emo and black metal.

Simo Soo is currently producing a number of records for other artists set to be released this year as well numerous 2019 solo releases.
