Powered by Audioscrobbler™MC Yallah (Yallah Gaudencia Mbidde) is an Uganda-based Kenyan rapper. She is known for her complex, expressive flows, delivered over beats rooted in “the vanguard of the African electronic experimental scene”. She raps in several languages, including Luganda, Luo, Kiswahili, and English.

MC Yallah initially became involved in hip-hop in 1999, releasing singles in various rap styles sporadically throughout the 2000s and 2010s. In 2018, she joined the electronic music label Hakuna Kulala, the sister label of Nyege Nyege Tapes. With the label, her music developed a more experimental sound, starting with her 2018 EP "Ndi Mukazi", which featured remixes by Jay Glass Dubs. It was followed in 2019 by her debut studio album "Kubali" with the French producer Debmaster.

Her 2023 album “Yallah Beibe” received significant critical attention, being praised by Pitchfork and The Quietus for its skilful rapping, crisp production, and dark industrial sound. It featured collaborations with several artists from the Nyege Nyege family, including producers Debmaster, Chrisman, and Scotch Rolex, as well as guest vocals from Lord Spikeheart of the experimental grindcore band Duma.
