The band is Ashiya Eastwood and David Kane, and their skillfully layered music comprises all manner of electronics and live instrumentation, beautifully topped off with sultry, breathy vocals. ‘More Than Human’ mixes synths, programmed beats and heavily distorted guitars that fuse together into a fuzzy dream, while ‘Birdsong’ is a frustratingly short showcase for Eastwood’s vocals with a wonderfully restrained ending.
