Hug Party

Powered by Audioscrobbler™Hug Party are a queer two piece rap phenomenon from Manchester, UK. Digicore and Rosey Pony started the band in Rockhampton, Australia in 2006 and have played gigs mostly in the UK, though also in europe and the USA since then.
They play 'hip-pop' and rap in their own northern english accents. They rap about hot fat women, love and correcting sexist/homophobic graffiti. Hug Party "don’t pretend to fit into hip hop culture and this means that they sing in their own accents and try to challenge the homophobia and sexism which is so common in hip hop".
They released the '15,000 hugs from home' ep in 2007 and were on the Crunks not Dead 'Action! Disco!' mixer in 2008 with the track 'Tasty Ladies'.
A full album called 'Life Is Good' is due to be released on Cherryade records on the 16th of May 2011.
