Andrew Morrison

On my show this month:
After getting a lot of airtime from extra shows during the last few months, Andy's back to just one two-hour show in July - but it's a rare find packed with gems. There's an exclusive five track session from Ramp, the third specially-recorded live track from Eliza's recent tour in the UK, as well as more tracks from wonderful unsigned acts Lanterns On The Lake and Alex Canasta. You'll also hear the usual guest spots, 'Scott's Funky Five Minutes' and 'Teresa's Tasty Tips'. Andy also announces the winners of a couple of his recent competitions, so listen in to see if you're a winner, and to hear loads of great new music!

Biography:
From Portsmouth in southern England, I was the voice of BBC Radio 1's John Peel show, providing the spoken word 'offensive content' announcements, which can be heard here.  In more recent times, I've also provided announcements and title music for Radio 1's Rob Da Bank One Music show, which can be downloaded and streamed here.  I was interviewed by Radio 1 in October 2005 for a documentary about the life and legacy of John Peel.  Listen to it online here.

I am now very happy to be presenting a monthly show here for Dandelion Radio (following on from my previous experience presenting a weekly show for Portsmouth Hospital Radio back in the late 90s), and welcome demos, so get sending them in now to: Andrew Morrison, c/o Dandelion Radio, PO Box 54918, London W3 6ZS, United Kingdom or email mp3s & web links to .

I have a wide range of past music-making experience, having recorded and gigged with Trust No One and dance act Paragon, and recorded vocal trance with Stephen Christopher as Lojik.  As Euthanasia, I work with Scott Ruston, remixing and producing material by other artists and ourselves - including the Bonemachine song 'This Oceans Angry' (which featured on their debut Hackpen Records single 'Another Day Over'), 'Draw Your Lines' by Portsmouth Electro-guitar solo act Qhixldekx, and Lojik's 'Out From The Crowd'.  Additionally, I've also remixed 'Brightened' by The Lazys, and Portsmouth band Blake - providing the breakbeat filled 'Paragon Radio Mix' and the danced-up 'Paragon Club Mix' of their track 'When It's All Over'.

I produced and mixed tracks for The Lazys, and also produced two songs for Qhixldekx in 2004 entitled 'One Caveat' and 'Walt Disney', and digitally mastered 'The Twin Moon Conspiracy', the Qhixldekx mini album on which the tracks featured.  I've also sound engineered gigs for the soul music cover band Madison Heights.  My own personal website, featuring more music production and remixes, graphics and video, can be found at www.andrewmorrison.co.uk.
